Ms. Alys Spillman (M. A. University of Reading, UK) has over three years experience in archaeological research in the Southeast. Before joining our firm, she worked for the Archaeological and Historical Conservancy of southern Florida. She has completed further postgraduate work with the University of Oxford, and Boston University. She has been involved in archaeological excavations throughout the southeastern US, southern England, and Central America. She has completed internships with the Center for American Archaeology in Kampsville, Illinois, the National Monuments Record Office in Swindon, Wiltshire, UK, and the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, among others. Ms. Spillman’s research interests include culture contact events, pre-monetary trade mechanisms, and culture interaction as manifest in the material record.
Since joining our firm, Ms. Spillman has served as a field director for projects of varying levels, and has co-authored related publications. Ms. Spillman currently serves as a project manager in out Charleston Office.
