Mr. Ben Roberts (M.H.P., University of Georgia) joined our Elizabethtown, KY office in May, 2010 as a historian and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) specialist. Mr. Roberts holds bachelor's degrees in Anthropology from Western Carolina University and GIS from Kennesaw State University. Mr. Roberts has experience in architectural survey as well as the production of historic structure reports, National Register nominations, and local historic property designations. His GIS capabilities include site map shapefile creation and data layer management, geo-referencing, geo-data input, and data editing skills. Mr. Roberts' professional interests include the protection of cultural heritage during armed conflict and the relationship between Native Americans and cultural resource professionals. Before coming to Brockington, Mr. Roberts completed his graduate thesis entitled “Georgia's Historic County Courthouses: Anchors in a Sea of Change” and worked as an archaeological field technician throughout the Southeastern United States.
