Mr. Charles F. Philips, Jr. (M.A., The Citadel/University of Charleston) is a life-long historian, with a strong background in the Charleston business community. For most of the past 12 years, his research work has been in Colonial Low Country Studies. His specialty has been coastal land development during the Colonial period. He has served as historian for the Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site, as an American History teacher at the secondary and college level, and has been a part time historian for Brockington and Associates since 1992. His 25 years of business background in management, sales, production control, and purchasing for local industries brings an understanding of the various aspects of the business/government relationship to our company. Currently, Mr. Philips is the Senior Historian in our Charleston office.
