Ms. Carolyn Rock (M.A., University of Georgia) has been involved in archaeological projects throughout the southeastern U.S. for over twenty years and has authored or co-authored over thirty archaeological reports during this time. Prior to joining Brockington and Associates, Ms. Rock spent five years as adjunct instructor for Valdosta State University at Kings Bay and also worked for eight years as the Archaeological Contractor and Principal Investigator at the 16,000 acre Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Camden County, Georgia, the Atlantic homeport for US ballistic missile submarines. Ms. Rock’s University projects included four archaeological field schools at prehistoric and historic sites, as well a Georgia Coastal Incentive Grant to conduct an archaeological inventory and survey of Camden County (the completed report is available online at www.camdencounty.org/CCAS). Her research interests focus on the prehistory and history of the Georgia Coast and she has additional experience and interest in faunal analysis and bioarchaeology. Ms. Rock, a Registered Professional Archaeologist and current President of the Society for Georgia Archaeology, is assigned to Brockington’s Jacksonville, FL area office as a project manager.
