Mr. David Franz (M.S., University of Louisiana at Lafayette, RPA) has over fourteen years professional experience in cultural resources management having participated in historic and prehistoric archaeological surveys and excavations in the Northeast, Midwest and Southeast United States. Mr. Franz also has experience with cultural resource studies in urban and HAZMAT settings and in human remains recovery in both prehistoric and historic contexts. Numerous Federal, state, and county agencies in Pennsylvania and New Jersey have used Mr. Franz’s experience in human remains recovery as a part of crime scene investigations. Prior to joining Brockington and Associates, Mr. Franz served as Project Archaeologist for Geo-Marine, Inc., as well as field director for both Gannett Fleming, Inc. and the Institute for Long Island Archaeology at Stony Brook University. Mr. Franz also has an extensive background in broadcasting, having worked on various documentary productions through the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. His master’s thesis studied ethnic bias and mythological constructs in television programming. Mr. Franz’ areas of expertise include northeastern colonial and historic archaeology, human remains recovery, survey and resource evaluation, sociology and mythology, and video and graphic production. Mr. Franz is a project manager assigned to the Atlanta area office.
