Ms. Dea Mozingo (M.H.P., Historic Preservation/Archaeology, Georgia State University) is a Senior Project Manager in the History Workshop's Atlanta office. Dea has 14 years of experience as an archaeologist, educator, and project manager. She has developed educational programs focusing on archaeology and cultural heritage for a diverse group of institutions including the Fernbank Museum of Natural History, Chieftains Museum, Shirley Plantation, and the Museum of the Confederacy. Dea received a Bachelor of Arts degree in American History from Virginia Commonwealth University and a joint Masters degree in Historic Preservation and Archaeology from Georgia State University. As an archaeologist, her research focuses on the origins of agriculture and the emergence of social complexity in Woodland cultures.
