Mr. James C. Pritchard, Senior Archaeologist, has been employed as a Cultural Resources Management professional since 1992. During this period, he has supervised and/or participated in the successful completion and documentation of approximately 100 Phase I, II, and III archaeological projects in the Southeast, Midwest, and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States. Mr. Pritchard is a Registered Professional Archaeologist, a member of the Society for American Archaeology, the Southeastern Archaeological Conference, and the Kentucky Organization of Professional Archaeologists.
Mr. Pritchard has a broad base of experience across the spectrum of Cultural Resource Management. In 1995, he served acted as surveyor for Proyecto Ek Balam in the Yucatan, Mexico. In 1997, he served as the excavations supervisor for the Mayflower Project, Stann Creek District, Belize. In 2001, he jointly oversaw the initiation of a public archaeology program at the Port Arthur Historic Site in Tasmania. In addition, he has undertaken heritage studies to assist Register of the National Estate (Australia) eligibility assessments, has conducted HABS/HAER and history of architecture research, has undertaken preventive conservation studies, and has evaluated science education and interpretation programs.
