Dr. Laura A. Tedesco (Ph.D., New York University) has 18 years of experience in archaeology and cultural resource management including professional work in Syria, Italy, Cyprus, Israel, Armenia, the Republic of Georgia, Russia, the UK, and the US. In addition to her research and consulting duties, Dr. Tedesco leads our internship program providing practical cultural resource management experience for aspiring archaeologists and historians. Prior to joining Brockington and Associates, Dr. Tedesco worked with the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Education Department coordinating their internship program for undergraduate and graduate students. Dr. Tedesco is most interested in settlement patterns, technological change, and social complexity in archaeological contexts, and her doctoral dissertation explored the inception of copper-alloy metallurgy in the greater Near East and the technology's relationship to social complexity during the Bronze Age. Most recently, Dr. Tedesco performed studies in Oxford and London, UK examining metal artifacts and prehistoric technological processes. Dr. Tedesco is the company's internship director and is a senior project manager assigned to our Charleston, SC area office.
