Ms. Whitney Olvey (B.A., Colorado State University) has more than ten years of experience in archaeology gained from both private cultural resource management firms and academic institutions. Her experience includes background and archival research, field survey, testing, and data recovery projects in the Southwest, Rocky Mountains, Southeast, and Mesoamerica. Ms. Olvey's skills include analysis of prehistoric tools and technologies, operation of electronic distance measuring devices including optical instruments (total station), production of large and small scale topographic maps (utilizing multiple GIS formats), and experimental archaeology. Before joining our firm, she worked for firms based in Georgia, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona. At Brockington and Associates, Ms. Olvey has served as a technician and project manager on archaeological field projects. She now works as a project manager organizing and facilitating tribal consultations. She also serves as our development manager, tracking the company’s marketing efforts in our Atlanta area office.
