Ms. Carolyn Rock (M.A., University of Georgia) has been involved in archaeological projects throughout the southeastern U.S. for over twenty years and has authored or co-authored over forty archaeological reports during this time. Prior to joining Brockington and Associates, Ms. Rock spent five years as adjunct instructor for Valdosta State University at Kings Bay and worked for eight years as Archaeological Contractor and Principal Investigator at the 16,000 acre Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Camden County, Georgia; the Atlantic homeport for U.S. ballistic missile submarines.
Ms. Rock's University projects included four archaeological field schools at prehistoric and historic sites, as well as a Georgia Coastal Incentive Grant to conduct an archaeological inventory and survey of Camden County (the completed report is available online at https://www.brockington.org/Research/view.php?id=645). Her research interests focus on the prehistory and history of the Georgia Coast and she has additional experience and interest in faunal analysis and bioarchaeology. Ms. Rock, a Registered Professional Archaeologist and past President of the Society for Georgia Archaeology, is assigned to Brockington's Savannah, GA area office as a project manager.
